Magnum Research BFR Converted to .500 Bushwhacker

What's that you say, the world's most powerful handgun? Yes, this Magnum Research BFR rechambered to .500 Bushwhacker is indeed the World's Most Powerful Handgun! This revolver is capable of taking down the largest African dangerous game.

This revolver started out life as a BFR .500 S&W Magnum with a 10" barrel. It was then sent to TII Machine to have the cylinder rechambered to handle the much larger .500 Bushwhacker cartridge. Then a 3.25" muzzle break is fitted to the end of the barrel resulting in a revolver that has an overall length of 21"! Take a look at the photos to get an idea of how large this revolver is when compared to the Colt snake series.

Included with this revolver, we  provide a box of TII Armory loaded .500 Bushwhacker 410gr WFNGC ammo, because what good is the revolver if you can't shoot it? As of right now, you'll receive 20 rounds, however, we may take it out to shoot a few rounds.

What kind of energy does this revolver produce? Well, the 410gr bullet has a measured muzzle velocity of 2400 ft/s producing a massive 5,243 ft⋅lbf of energy! To give that some perspective, it's about 2x the energy of the .500 S&W Mag, 3.5x the .44 Magnum, or nearly 10x the .357 Magnum! In terms of rifle calibers, it's roughly equivalent to the .416 Rigby or the .338 Lapua Magnum.

You'll need to ask before shooting this bad boy at any range since it may not be allowed. And in the beginning, we recommend loading just one round in the cylinder and get a good set of padded shooting gloves. This revolver is NOT to be shot by anyone that is inexperienced in handling firearms!
