Description
This is one of the best packages we have put together at Deluxe Arms! You've got 24 carat gold, Polychrome Kingman Turquoise, Damascus Steel, and a Government Model Series 80 1911. The combination of Nighthawk Custom, Santa Fe Stoneworks, and Colt, well, it doesn't get much better than this offering.
First we start off with the centerpiece, a Colt Government Model Series 80 1911 pistol chambered in .45 ACP. This pistol was built in 2003 and we gave it a major facelift. The pistol had a previous life as someone's reasonably well cared for 1911 with a little bit of holster wear and a small ding, but overall it was in fine shape. We then took the pistol and gave it the ultimate upgrade with 24k gold plating on the slide and frame, upgraded to a Wilson Combat metal mainspring housing, and nickel plated the accents. As you can see from the pictures and video, it shows a mirror quality reflection. The pistol also comes with one 24k gold plated magazine.
But the plating wasn't enough. The grips that originally came with the pistol were basic (and sticky) rubber grips. Those simply wouldn't do, so we upgraded them to authentic Gemstone Polychrome Kingman Turquoise with Bronze grips made by Santa Fe Stoneworks. If you read up on this particular type of turquoise, it's the highest grade turquoise Santa Fe has received any it was the only batch they would ever receive. The grips themselves retail for over $700, so if you're looking for the finest turquoise in 1911 grip form, this is it!
But we're still not done. Because we're a Nighthawk Custom dealer, we were offered a special Gemstone Polychrome Kingman Turquoise Damascus blade knife, made by Santa Fe Stoneworks for Nighthawk, and it was the perfect match to this pistol. Utilizing the same Kingman turquoise as used for the grips, this 3.5" lockback knife features beautifully patterened DSX93 Damasteel fitted to a titanium handle with a pocket clip.
If you like gold, turquoise, guns, and knives, don't pass up this package. This is a one-of-a-kind offering that we will not be able to reproduce in the future.
Note: There is a very slight imperfection to a single slide serration on the left side since this was a previously owned pistol.
