The Taran Tactical Mini Wick
For the holy grail of Taran guns, enter the rarest Taran Tactical Innovations firearm — The Mini Wick.
What is the Mini Wick? We spoke with Taran in person at Shot 2023 about this gun and he gave some insights as to what it's all about. When Taran was designing a 2011-style pistol for the John Wick series, in addition to the Combat Master, he designed this prototype compact version. It was meant to be used along side the full-size Combat Master by Keanu. After doing some test runs of the pistol, the director, Chad Stahelski, decided the pistol wasn't prominent enough on screen. Even though Keanu uses the smaller Glock 26 in JW2, this Mini Wick was meant to have more screen time than just a quick use concealed carry pistol. After the decision was made, the Mini Wick was shelved and not to be used for JW3 or JW4.
Only five of these compact 2011-style pistols were made by Taran. Of the five that exist, it's believed that Taran, Keanu, and Chad each have one and the remaining two were sold. We're lucky to have one of those two right here in our shop as part of our John Wick collection. This pistol has been shot by Taran, and possibly Keanu. There is noticeable carbon buildup on the feed ramp and chamber.
